One look at the guests on Booka Shade's firth album, 'Eve' - Fritz Helder from Azari & III, Fritz Kalkbrenner and Groove Armada’s Andy Cato – shows the German duo's towering stature in the dance scene.
Having started their career by helping launch Berlin's era-defining Get Physical label, hits such as ‘Mandarine Girl’ and ‘Body Language' demonstrated that they have the musical ear for a hook way beyond the remits of the minimal scene which they were loosely part of.
'Love Inc', the debut single from 'Eve' (with is released on the 1st of November - pre-order it here), is awash with giant warm chords that transforms a sample from Lil Louis 'Club Lonely' into a celebratory, peak time deep house track. Out now, with remixes from an array of talent including Hot Since 82, Butch, Emperor Machine and Richie G, we have another album track, 'Perfect Time', to give away for download.
Booka Shade also play a live show at East London's Oval Space live show on Thursday the 14th of November. To enter our comp to win two tickets to the gig email joe.roberts@djmag.com with the correct answer to the following question. We'll randomly pick a winner and notify them on Wednesday 6th November.
