The innovative, enduring Juno Records – one of the first online record stores - celebrate 10 years in 2007. To toast this achievement, they're re-issuing ten house classics on their imprint, Juno Records, each with a set of contemporary remixes from the hottest current names around.

The first release featured Faze Action's mammoth, string-drenched 1996 disco epic, 'In The Trees'. A true cult classic at the time, this re-release is timely: 'In the Trees' still sounds remarkably fresh. With remixes from Jerome Sydenham & Tiger Stripes, and the inestimable Carl Craig, it's already igniting a variety of different dancefloors across the land - not least Craig's filthy, pitch black bass blast of mix.

Meanwhile, the latest release, out now, is their re-issue of the Keytronics Ensemble's Balearic 1989 gem, 'Calypso of House'. Having a slight flavour of 'Sueno Latino', this lost cracker was the work of three Italian producers, Checco Montefiori, Umbi Damiani and Cesare Collina, and had a decidedly Ibizan edge, as the white isle had begun to cast its influences beyond the Balearic islands. Heavy on the proggy, ambient vibes, this was one of the first ventures of a nascent progressive house movement. Remixes here come courtesy of French deep house head Julien Jabre, who whips up an upfront, big dancefloor mover, Pearn & Bridges, most famous for their Bodyrox project, and 'Yeah Yeah', and the mysterious Greenfingers.

Juno's release of these top tracks places them in the pantheon of dance music's history and future. On the basis of these first two releases, Juno have some corkers up their sleeves.
