Bristol’s Pressure Dome is launching a new series of compilations championing artists from around the globe this month.
The first instalment of INTL.Pressure features contributions from artists based in Ireland, France, Kampala, New York, Copenhagen and beyond. In keeping with the label’s flair for hybridised, bassy club sounds, the comp’s 10 tracks orbit techno, dancehall, jungle, dubstep and electro, rarely settling anywhere for too long, creating something genuinely exhilarating in the process. Check out the alien techno dancehall of the compilation’s opening track, ‘Overtime’ from Dublin’s Sputnik One, below.
The label, launched by Bristol DJ and producer Yushh in 2019, has been following in the footsteps of local labels like Tectonic, Timedance, Livity Sound and Wisdom Teeth in creating space for experimental talent. Back in March, it released its third charity compilation, raising funds for the local Community Care Package initiative, and showcasing local artists in the process. On 'INTL.PDCOMP001', Pressure Dome broadens its horizons, continuing its journey to becoming an internationally respected platform.
'INTL.PDCOMP001' will be released on 30th July. Pre-order it via Pressure Dome's Bandcamp.
