Major Lazer have shared a brief live teaser from their fourth and final album.
Having announced in September 2018 that their forthcoming record would be their last, Diplo and co. have been tight lipped about the details. However, as you can see in the all-too-brief clip below, it’s looking like the LP may be coming pretty soon.
The clip is taken from what appears to be a festival stage where the trio are playing a new track (to uproarious response). Captioned “I know u guys are ready for this album #ML4”, the track finds Major Lazer sticking to their technique of fusing Latin American-style rhythms – in this case, what could be an Olodum nod – with EDM and bass tropes. While that’s all we have to work with for now, it’s enough to get fans excited for what’s to come from the longstanding act.
In the meantime, fans can get their Major Lazer fix with the retrospective compilation released last October marking their 10-year anniversary.
