These are the Top 30 UK club events in February 2018
Another month, another essential selection...
It's not that we didn't have an awesome time in January, but, let's face it, a year only ever gets better once the first month has passed. So let's forget about it now, look forward, move on, and embrace pastures new. Or to put all that another way, it's time to roundup the top UK club events in February.
London town has us particularly excited about homegrown hero Robin Hall, who has invited Luke Vibert— responsible for one of DJ Mag's favourite albums of last year— along with the equally heroic Justin Robertson and Bushwacka! to celebrate Memory Box's 5th Birthday.
Junction 2 have a massive techno session coming up; don't miss Modeselektor and LSD at that one. Legendary US house player Doc Martin is in the capital, too, and one of the city's newest spots, E1, has the honour of a full live show from Herzblut boss Stephan Bodzin.
Leeds institution System at Mint Club marks a decade in the game— Fuse are in the house b2b2b, as is Romanian don Praslea, Onur Ozer and Binh, while local stalwarts Annie Errez and Bobby O'Donnell are always on point.
Ame plays Newcastle for the first time in five years at Ape-X's 10th Birthday with Gerd Janson, HMT go hard with Treehouse courtesy of the ever-rave-y Happa and Mumdance. Meanwhile, Liverpool gets a day and night of prog, with studio maestro Charlie May making a very rare appearance.
In Brighton, Worldwide FM star Esa heads to town this month. Joy Orbison is on with one of NTS Radio's finest, Jon Rust, at Southampton's Junk, and none other than DJ Stingray hits Oxford's always essential soiree, Simple.
Delete returns to Cardiff with selectors' selectors The Ghost, Mella Dee delivers techno-disco business to Get Down in Plymouth, and John Gomez (see: Rush Hour and Music From Memory) is also in the neighbourhood.
Midlands types get two free parties, including esteemed intimate house music throwdown Natural Selections marking its 2nd Birthday in Shrewsbury via musically astute ressies Reg, Paul, Dan, and Jay, with visiting pal Tigga, and The Acid Experiment in Birmingham, the latter offering a hush-hush lineup comprising veterans and impressive fresh faces alike.
Big hits elsewhere include a pair of events at Belfast's much-hyped Telegraph Building (our top choice for the region and Shine's latest date), Abdulla Rashim stomps into Edinburgh, and team Pulse— which we featured in depth in our December magazine— have the honour of Mr. G live, also in the Scottish capital, with help from the Karnival crew.
More complete listings for the entire UK are available in the latest print issue, DJ Mag 578, just in case this lot aren't enough. Now, without further ado, let's count 'em down.
