KG and Scratchclart (fka Scratcha DVA) have come together for a four-track EP on London label Hyperdub.
'Touch', landing this Friday (12th), is a fusion of UK funky and the increasingly popular, percussive sound of South African gqom.
The 'Touch' EP is Hyperdub mainstay Scratchclart's fourth release this year and will be KG's debut on the imprint following her 2018 'Goon Club Allstars' EP, joining the likes of Burial, DJ Lag and Ikonika.
Hyperdub is launching a new sub-label called Flatlines.
The label will focus on spoken word pieces, with its inaugural release coming courtesy of philosopher and sound artist Justin Barton and late theorist and writer Mark Fisher. An audio essay called 'On Vanishing Land', the release, a press release says, "evokes a walk along the Suffolk coastline in 2006, from Felixstowe container port ('a nerve ganglion of capitalism') to the Anglo-Saxon burial ground at Sutton Hoo".
Burial has released new EP, 'Claustro / State Forest', via Hyperdub.
The EP is Burial's first solo material in 2019 following a remix of Luke Slater's 'Love'.
'Claustro' was debuted on Maryanne Hobb's BBC Radio 6 show and the full EP is available to stream now. While 'Claustro' saw the producer leaning more towards the garage and bassline ends of the spectrum, 'State Forest' is Burial back at his ominous, ambient best.

A GoFundMe page has been launched by Hyperdub to help label signing Cooly G, after a fire at a self-storage unit in London late last year destroyed most of her and her family's possessions.
The message accompanying the crowdfunding campaign explains that the producer and DJ had put much of her belonging into the storage unit while preparing to move houses.
Hyperdub has announced its next release of 2019, a debut album from producer Mana.
The album, titled 'Seven Steps Behind', comes around six months on from the producer's first EP with the label. Hyperdub's press release describes the record as "an electronic album that doesn't always sound electronic," adding that large parts of the record have been created to mimic the sound of "prepared pianos, harpsichords, cellos and flutes."
Burial and The Bug are set to release a collaborative 12" EP at the end of the month.
‘Flame 1’ is comprised of two tracks, ‘Fog’ and ‘Shrine’ and will be released via a new label, Pressure. This is the first time the two Hyperdub affiliates have collaborated and will be each of their first releases of 2018.
Burial shared jazz-tinged slow-burner ‘Rodent’ this Thursday 14th September via Hyperdub. It’s the enigmatic producer’s third release of 2017, following spring’s ‘Subtemple’ EP and a remix of Goldie’s ‘Inner Circle’.
The single is accompanied by a grating, experimental remix courtesy of Hyperdub-boss Kode9.
'Rodent' arrives almost a year after Burial chose Hyperdub to drop 2016’s ‘Young Death’.
Burial has dropped a surprise new two-track EP, titled ‘Subtemple’.
The release, which is made up of tracks ‘Subtemple’ and ‘Beachfires’, is available to stream and purchase now via the Hyperdub Bandcamp page, while the 10” vinyl is out on 26th May.
Vinyl pre-orders are currently sold out on the Hyperdub site, however other online outlets have availability at the time of this writing.
