LANDR – the music services company that started out as one of the first AI mastering platforms – has announced a new suite of plugins to join its All Access Pass subscription plan. The plugins are made up of five single-knob tools, similar to Waves’ OneKnob series. They include Acoustic, Electric, Beats, Bass and Voice. Each plugin has a single ‘Blend’ knob and input and output controls, with all the processing happening behind the scenes.

Waves have introduced a rent-to-own system for their mixing plugins. The new infastructure called Flex allows Waves users and wannabe users to pay $19.99 a month to 'rent' 10 plugins from the mixing giants. For a limited time you can also add three more plugins to your package, taking the total to 13. After 24 months of renting the plugs, they are then yours to own and users can unsubscribe, or add more plugins to their package and continue renting.

The new subscription model was announced yesterday and includes the SSL Channel Strip, Buss Compressor, DrumStrip, VocalStrip, X-Comp, X-EQ and more. The plugins were previously available directly through SSL at a price of £849, so it's a significantly less entry level point, though if you do want to own the plugins outright, they're still available as buy-to-own.
