Leeds-based sound system and production duo Iration Steppas are to be the focus of a new documentary.

'Ina Vanguard Style', a film from Dubquake Records, is set to explore the pair's development as a production outfit and sound system, as well as their long-lasting connection to the dub community of Leeds and beyond. 

The documentary will premiere on Vimeo on 6th February, and a limited number of DVDs will also be made available via Bandcamp around the same date.

Don Letts, AKA The Rebel Dread, has mixed the next release in the acclaimed Late Night Tales series.

'Version Excursion selected by Don Letts' will arrive on 24th September and showcases the GRAMMY-winning musician, broadcaster, commentator, and DJ's famously broad taste in music. Work by Ghetto Priest, Zoe Devlin, Quantic, The Tamlins, and Khruangbin all feature on the 21-strong tracklist. 

NTS Radio is looking for new residents and genre specialists to join its roster. 

The online network, which broadcasts from global locations and maintains bases in London and Manchester among other cities, has issued an open call. The statement invites interest from new 'radio personalities' and experts in styles such as alte, asakaa, jazz fusion, 2-step soul, 20s-70s blues, outsider country, highlife, min'yo, sanjo, nanyin, metal, classical, gnawa, amapiano, lovers rock, dub and reggae.

EVA808 will release her debut album, ‘Sultry Venom’, this Friday 18th December. 

Released on USA heavyweight bass label Innamind Recordings, the 19-track LP follows the success of the Icelandic producer’s singles ‘Prrr’ and ‘Exchange’ - already accumulating a steady stream of endorsement from the likes of Commodo and Hudson Mohawke. 

Jamaican reggae producer Bunny Lee has died aged 79.

Born Edward O'Sullivan Lee in Kingston in 1941, and affectionately known as "Striker" Lee, the producer and label head played a pivotal role in bringing reggae music to the UK. He helped to put the likes of Peter Tosh and Horace Andy on the world stage, and was a friend and collaborator with dub pioneer King Tubby.

According to Annette Wong-Lee, mother to four of his children, Lee died from respiratory failure.

Om Unit will release his new EP, ‘Submerged’, this Friday 31st January. 

The Bristol-based Cosmic Bridge boss and DJ Mag favourite is on top form across these six tracks, traversing the 160 spectrum with in a typically expert fashion. Stirring a heady mixture of dub, d&b and even a touch of techno, ‘Submerged’ swerves from depth-charge half-time toward full-throttle groove, with a deep, spacious atmosphere tying the whole thing together beautifully. 

Ever-reliable Bristol label Livity Sound will release Toma Kami’s new EP ‘Negative Extasy’ this Friday 28th June.

The label’s first release of 2019 – following superb outings from Laurel Halo & Hodge, Facta, Cando, Forest Drive West and more last year – ‘Negative Extasy’ finds Toma Kami on particularly percussive form, bouncing from sharp, dubby trips to the headier hard-drum energy of the title track.
