A new podcast, Blacklisted, will explore and discuss London’s house music culture. 

The podcast is hosted by three music industry professionals, DJ Fabio Luis, House Passion DJ and promoter Shenin Amara, and photographer Dayran, and will explore different elements of the city’s scene. In the first epsiode, which you can check out below, topics range from race and discrimination to COVID-19 and live streams.

A new book celebrates the rich diversity of London's record shops.

Written by music journalist Garth Cartwright, and featuring shots from photographer Quintina Valero, London's Record Shops is a compendium of some of the city's most loved outlets. 

While no specifics have yet been confirmed, the book will feature record shops in areas such as Hackney, Peckham and Soho.

A selection of London pirate radio adverts spanning almost a decade have been compiled into a release.

The first of a two-part series, incoming via Record label and NTS Radio show Death Is Not The End, 'London Pirate Radio Adverts 1984​​-​​1993, Vol. 1' is an archive of adverts and idents broadcast on the capital's pirate radio stations, including an introduction featuring Frankie Knuckles' seminal house hit, 'Your Love'.

A London nightclub will pilot a new ventilation system in January that could lead the way in making clubs and music venues more COVID-secure. 

According to an announcement on their Instagram, London’s 100 Club on Oxford Street will be the first to trial the system designed to eliminate as much as 99.9% of airborne pathogens, including coronavirus.

A new 4,400-capacity venue is set to open in London.

London is set to gain a brand new music venue, fronted by Coachella's AEG Presents, as part of revonations at West London exhibition centre, Olympia.

The plans were announced by developers yesterday, who revealed a number of plans for tenants at the brand new Olympia complex. As well as the new mega-venue, which is scheduled to open in 2023, Olympia will also be home to two hotels, with talks also currently underway for an arthouse cinema, a 1,500-seat theatre, and a number of restaurants and shops.

Leon Chue, master cutting engineer at London’s Music House, has died.

The legendary figure in UK music production, who specialised in drum & bass and jungle dubplates, passed away in his mid-'40s.

The son of roots reggae producer Paul Chue, and brother of UK garage legend Wookie, Chue worked at London's Music House mastering studio for over 20 years, after joining the family business back in 1995.
