Berghain resident Phase Fatale has announced a new album, ‘Scanning Backwards’, which lands on Ostgut Ton in the new year.
Eight tracks will feature on the record, slated to arrive on 24th January 2020. The music itself has been specifically designed for maximum impact on the dancefloor of the legendary Berlin venue, which celebrates its 15th birthday next month. It's the producer's second full-length work.

Berghain announces 15th birthday party
Berghain has announced a huge line-up for its 15th birthday celebrations.
The party will start at midnight on Saturday 14th December, running through until, as always with Klubnacht, sometime on Monday.
Berghain's 15th birthday will welcome a whopping 24 artists to the hallowed club, including Aurora Halal, Efdemin, Marcel Dettmann, Surgeon, Steffi and a live show from Caterina Barbieri in Halle, the rarely used third space.
A perfume that smells like Berlin techno club Tresor has gone on sale
A new fragrance based on the scent inside the original Tresor club in Berlin, which closed in 2005 before relocating and reopening in 2007, has been created.
The fragrance will come packaged with the first 300 copies to be sold of a new Russian translation edition of techno history book 'Der Klang Der Familie'. The new edition, which is being released to mark the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, will mark the first time that the book, written by Sven Von Thülen and Felix Denk, has been officially translated to Russian.
CockTail d'Amore to celebrate 10th anniversary with compilation and book
CockTail d'Amore will celebrate a decade of parties and releases with a new compilation and a book, due out in December.
The legendary Berlin party and collective, who started life as a DIY party in 2009, moving from clubs to illegal venues across the city, found a more stable home in 2014 at the Griessmuehle club. CockTail d'Amore soon launched a label, releasing EPs from Geist, Powder and Sfire.

A new calendar depicts various iconic Berlin clubs.
Following on from a limited-edition run of a '2019' version last year, Tine Fetz and Daniel Schneider's 'Places 2020 - Vergangene Orte Berliner Subkultur' features twelve illustrations of notable East and West Berlin clubs and various other nightlife haunts of the 1970s and 1980s.
As well as Metropol on the cover, the calendar features illustrations of Dschungel, La Belle, Tempodrom and more.
Berghain bouncer Sven Marquardt to play the club’s Hospital Productions Nacht
Legendary Berghain bouncer Sven Marquardt will play the Berlin club's Hospital Productions Nacht in November.
The New York label will take over Berghain on the 22nd next month, with Sven Marquardt, Prurient and Moritz von Oswald all slated to perform.
Becka Diamond will also perform at the party, alongside Lizuiz and Skin Crime, who both play live, and Rainforest Spiritual Enslavement.

Petition launched to allow Detroit clubs to operate past 2am
A not-for-profit organisation called the Detroit-Berlin-Connection has set up a petition to lobby for clubs to be able to stay open later than 2am in Detroit.
The current law in the city prohibits people from legally dancing in the city between 2am and 7.30am meaning that clubs are forced to open later and many people are forced to rely on unlicensed parties.
